Following please find the Komoot maps of my cycling trip along the Danube Cycle Path with my dog Zuri 2019.
In 2019, my dog Zuri and I cycled to Budapest shortly before Budapest on the Danube Cycle Path, also called EuroVelo 6 (EV 6). From there, we followed the Danube Cycle Path north to Bratislava and Vienna.

My dog Zuri and I reached Budapest on our e-bike tour! Budapest is my favourite city in Europe. There is so much to discover there: The Buda Castle, Fishermen’s Bastion, Music Fountains, Margaret Island, Statue of Liberty, Heroes’ Square, the Ruinbar Szimpla, Matthias Church, the Budapest Parliament and much more. The video shows a small insight into the sights of Budapest.
From Budapest (Hungary) we follow the EuroVelo 6, also called the Danube Cycle Path, further north. We cycle through Szentendre, Vac and Esztergom into Slovakia until we reach Komarno. As soon as I and my dog arrived in Slovakia, I was shocked! Some parts of Eastern Europe were already really bad, but the rubbish problem here is unparalleled…

Video E-bike Tour with my Dog Europe 2019 – Stage Slovakia:
After a rainy night at the campsite in Komarno, we follow the EuroVelo 6, also called the Danube Cycle Path, further in the direction of Bratislava, Slovakia. EuroVelo 6 runs mostly on cycle paths. However, sleeping places are scarce, so we have to sleep on the cycle path. The next day, some nasty surprises await us…Zuri’s paws bleed and the dog trailer breaks off the e-bike….

From Orth an der Donau we continue on EuroVelo 6 (EV 6) to Vienna. There we leave the Danube Cycle Path/EuroVelo 6 and continue north on the GreenWays, which connects Vienna with Prague. This also coincides in parts with EuroVelo 9 and EuroVelo 13.
