Bojan and I separate after 1,5 days of cycling together. He continues by train to Belgrade and Zuri and I set off to the Tara National Park in Serbia. The mountain is steep and my brakes are once again at the end. It squeaks violently and I don’t know exactly how I should get down the mountain by bike. Another problem is that we are in the middle of the country, where there is no bicycle dealer far and wide… But where there is a will, there is also a way… We ride a hundred kilometers north along the Drina River, past the Drina River House to Loznica.

Today we have the longest stage of the journey ahead of us. It is almost 150 km to Belgrade, where Zuri and I meet Bojan again, who has invited us to his place. Unfortunately, the gear shift still doesn’t work, because the bike is wobbling around and suddenly even the trip bursts…

From Belgrade we continued on the Eurovelo 6 to Novi Sad and then to Subotica.
