Here are the Komoot maps of my e-bike tour through Hungary with my dog Zuri in 2019. In Hungary I mainly followed the EuroVelo 6. Unfortunately, it is not very well signposted, so it is worth downloading the EuroVelo 6 app to avoid losing the EuroVelo 6, which unfortunately happened to me several times.

Video E-bike tour Europe with my dog 2019 – stage Hungary 1:
From Subotica in Serbia, our bike tour with the e-bike and my dog Zuri continued towards Hungary. We took a short break in Szeged and then continued towards the Danube. This was followed by our first night in the forest, which made me feel quite queasy. Especially since Zuri decided at night to make the forest unsafe on her own…. The next day we continued towards the Danube to get on the EuroVelo 6. Thanks to Komoot, we found a free campsite right on the Danube in Harta, which even had a restaurant where I could charge my battery.

From Harta, our bike trip continues north on the Danube Cycle Path (EuroVelo 6) to Budapest. When I and my dog Zuri cross the bridge to the west bank of the Danube on the ebike, the adventure begins, because the area here is anything but bicycle-friendly and there is no bridge back either…

My dog Zuri and I reached Budapest on our e-bike tour! Budapest is my favourite city in Europe. There is so much to discover there: The Buda Castle, Fishermen’s Bastion, Music Fountains, Margaret Island, Statue of Liberty, Heroes’ Square, the Ruinbar Szimpla, Matthias Church, the Budapest Parliament and much more. The video shows a small insight into the sights of Budapest.
From Budapest (Hungary) we follow the EuroVelo 6, also called the Danube Cycle Path, further north. We cycle through Szentendre, Vac and Esztergom into Slovakia until we reach Komarno. As soon as I and my dog arrived in Slovakia, I was shocked! Some parts of Eastern Europe were already really bad, but the rubbish problem here is unparalleled…
