Here are all the Komoot maps of the routes I used when I cycled through Slovenia. I mainly followed the Slovenia Mountainbike Route – STKP and the EuroVelo 9. The routes are mainly not marked and therefore quite difficult to follow. There are also no gpx files available when I cycled through Slovenia. I got this bicycle map from the Slovenian tourist board when I cycled through the country.

On our cycling trip through Europe, me and my dog Zuri reach the north of Slovenia. We cycle through the beautiful Triglav National Park to Lake Bled.

After three rainy days in Bled in Slovenia, my dog Zuri and I drive further south. We pass the Bohinjsko Jezero and have to overcome 1000 meters of altitude and the Soriska Planina. No problem, thanks Ebike. The stage shows Slovenia from many sides: crystal clear rivers, mountains, turquoise lakes, small villages and a lot of nature.

On this day, me and my dog Zuri finally cycled to Ljubljana. The capital of Slovenia. There I had actually organized a female couchsurfer for the night, but everything turned out differently than planned and so I had two empty batteries at 12 o’clock in the night and no possibility to stay overnight…

Today my dog Zuri and I discovered by chance the incredibly fascinating karst caves of Slovenia on our trip by bicycle. 🙂

One of the most exhausting days of the bike trip so far. From Postojna we go to the famous rock castle of Predjama and then to the vineyards of Slovenia, where my dog Zuri and I find a comfortable place to sleep. The next day I unfortunately realize that my Bosch Ebike gear shifting is not working anymore and I drive to Trieste to visit a bicycle dealer. The way there leads us along a hiking trail, which was not made for biking at all. The mountains are steep and stony and I have to push large parts of the path. Trieste itself is steep and mountainous, the traffic chaotic and the people there mostly unfriendly. Also the bicycle dealer unfortunately can’t help me. With an address of a Slovenian dealer in my pocket we go up the next unexpectedly steep mountain after a short break until we find a camping site for the night at the border to Slovenia in the evening.

After my Bosch gearshift could be repaired by a Slovenian bicycle dealer in Koper, my dog Zuri and I continue driving along the Slovenian coast. We find a place to stay for the night with one of the most beautiful rides of the bicycle trip. The next morning we continue to the beautiful town of Piran before we cycle on to Croatia.
